Im Januar haben wir uns mit der (gänzlich fehlenden) Sicherheit von Legic Prime befasst, einer RFID-Lösung für kontaktlose Smartcards, wie sie z.B. vom Studentenwerk in unserer Mensa eingesetzt werden. Der selbe Chip ist auch auf den Student Cards der TUM, daher kann man mit seinem Studentenausweis in der Mensa essen gehen, was ja eigentlich eine praktische Sache ist.
Leider ganz an uns vorbeigegangen ist eine zum Abschluss unseres Projekts und genau zeitgleich mit meiner Veröffentlichung von Code, der das Beschreiben von Legic-Karten praktisch zum Kinderspiel macht erschienene Mitteilung der Zwischenfirma Automaten Seitz von Anfang Februar, denn Hardware und Karten beziehen TUM und Studentenwerk nicht direkt von der Schweizer Firma Legic. I’m trying to use the data of xkcd’s color survey to produce a kind of political map of color the HSV color world. This is getting way more complicated than I thought initially ;)

There’s these programs you really like, but they might have these little inconveniences which are too small to really matter, but still kind of annoy you. Well HTML-messages in thunderbird are on such thing. Usually I don’t want HTML-messages, but sometimes not limiting yourself to unformatted UTF-8 comes in handy (for me basically when writing in arabic, so I can have a bigger font-size and a natural right-alignment).
