RE: wput: bug-report

Hagen,
I am sorry to bug you again, I am still unable to get this to work
on my machine. If I can get it to work I will spot you some more cash
because this program will save me a lot more time. I am pretty sure it is a
problem with my setup. So if you have some desire to help my troubleshoot
this I would appreciate it. Below are the details of my issue. I am still
unable to get it to read the config file, so I have added a new environment
variable for the proxy server authentication. I have also put the ini file
in several locations, though none seem to take effect. I had to block the
username/password/ip addresses so I don't loose my job. Sorry, but I am a
little worried sending that out initially.

I have the following setup:

Testing on Windows XP (Will be run on windows 2003 advanced server. Yeah I
know, not as good as Linux >:( but what can I do... )

C:\WPUT\wput.exe (0.5 version)
C:\WPUT\wputrc
C:\WPUT\wputrc.ini (copy of file C:\WPUT\wputrc. This file is attached)
C:\WPUT\wput.ini (copy of file C:\WPUT\wputrc. This file is attached)
C:\wput.ini (copy of file C:\WPUT\wputrc. This file is attached)
C:\wputrc (copy of file C:\WPUT\wputrc. This file is attached)

Windows Environment Variables set (yeah you were correct on how to set this
in windows.)
SET WPUTRC=C:\WPUT\wputrc.ini
SET ftp_proxy=http://proxyuser:proxypass@proxyserver:8088

Command Run:
C:\WPUT\wput.exe test.txt
ftp://ftpsiteuser:ftpsitepass@ftp.somedomain.com/upload/ -o C:\WPUT\log.txt
-v -d

Any Suggestions would be welcomed.
Thank you for your time,
JB

Below is what I am seeing in the log file for this of course I had to block
out the user name/passwords/ip addresses in all the files due to trying not
to lose my job (ha-ha)...

Added file `test.txt' to queue.
Added URL `ftp://ftpsiteuser:ftpsitepass@ftp.somedomain.com/upload/' to
queue.

Hi,
wput is mainly written for linux, so there the locations are quite clear
(/etc/wputrc, /home/user/.wputrc, $WPUTRC). Windows is secondary target and
not everything works just as fine. So the home-directory cannot be
determined
and therefore C:\wput.ini is used or the file to which the environment
variable WPUTRC points.
I'm not quite sure, but i assume that you can set it using:
set WPUTRC="C:\TEMP\wputrc"
And you should probably start using Wput 0.5 because the 0.4.x sometimes
causes a lot of trouble.

Regards,
Hagen
