[bug wput] dirty bug with wput 0.5 :(

Hello,
I've already written to you in the past and I'm a heavy fan of wput
but today I've lost almost 2 gigs of data because of it and I'm very sad 
(in fact I almost want to kill myself).............

All I wanted was to copy a directory to an ftp  (it's the ftp inside my 
dvd/divx reader (kiss dp 508 in case you wonder)
so I went to the place I store all my friends episode
and I did :
wput dix/* ftp://192.168.1.251/hdd/videos

so it took ages and once it finished I did
rm -rf dix/ (I know what you're thinking but I totally trusted wput for 
one year so...)

and of course now I have a huge videos files (720 meg) and nothing about 
the episode
the strangest part is the size of my initial dix/ directory was 2 gig

the strangest part as I was saying is the resultat sire of the file videos :
726 378 ko


so may I suggest to add a warning or something or to add
a -R swith in order to be sure the complete directory structure is 
transfered ???
